Anthony Stark is one of my favourite superheroes and Robert Downey Jr- whom I thought was a horrible choice- turned out to be excellent. At first I was afraid it was another Marvel Comics flop of an adaptation (at least in my eyes) like Spiderman (yeeps!) but Downey is a great actor. I guess it helped that Stark’s travails in the comic book (battling with alcoholism) is similar to Downey’s own life.
If you liked all 3 Spiderman movies … you may not like this. It’s definitely not like the unwatchable broody Lee Ang HULK- can’t wait for the new one, but it’s not airy fairy like the Spiderman trilogy! Iron man the movie is insightful and fun at the same time. A wonderful experience- you should go watch.
This is the first time I have ever won anything- and it’s a million dollars! Are you a winner too?

The portion in which the young student talks about Singapore Math books is very brief, but its good to know that its not just the adults, but the students themselves who find our textbooks helpful. The state of Math ability in the US is at a crisis- with an entire generation of youngsters fed on “fuzzy math”- aka TERC investigations, supposedly a new way of teaching math where the kids learn to discover principles on their own. I hope we never go down that road with newer teachers pushing for more “creative” classes.
Some things just need to be drilled and then later understood.
