THE STORY OF MAO DUN

Once upon a time there was a man who sold shields and spears. “I have the best spears in the world that can pierce through anything,” he shouted. When a customer approached him, he also tried to sell him his shields. “I have the best shields in the world! Nothing can pierce them!” So one of the bystanders suggested he use his pierce-anything-spears on his nothing-can-pierce-shields.

In Singapore’s public service website/blog, the About Us section states this:

“Have you ever noticed that the words “all” and “change” are embedded in the word “Challenge”? This alludes to the fact that all of us need to change to overcome challenges and stay relevant in today’s ever-changing environment.”

It would have been clever, but challenge does not spell “all change” - instead it spells “all chenge”. I mean I can say the darn word also embeds “allen” and “hall” and “cha”, “ha” …
