Singaporean Tai-tais

The saga continues as parents all over Singapore ask their children to be extra cautious and vigilant when taking public transportation.

Where is this limping man? For those of you how don’t know, Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) detainee Mas Selamat Kastari escaped from the Whitley Road Detention Center at 4.05 pm local time a couple of days ago (Wed) when he pretended to go to the toilet.

Really- like in the movies. He actually escaped by claiming he was going to the toilet and then wala- the limping terrorist was gone! Now, the 100-man special task force along with the police are hunting him down but he seems to have “disappeared”. Who would have thought that you can hide in tiny Singapore. Where is this man?

Who orchestrated this escape … it had to have been planned.

ON A SERIOUS NOTE: JI- Jemaah Islamiyah is an Indonesia-based terrorist organization linked to Al-Qaeda or the Taliban. Mas Selamat was the leader of the Singapore JI network and had planned to attack Singapore’s Changi airport ala 9/11 style in 2002.

Who is responsible for this piece of marketing crap?! Does Dodo even realize the double entendre behind their ads? “I love my Dodo!!!!!!” What is wrong with them? And then “Shiok, Shiok”? (For non-Singaporeans, you can add in your own version of sounds you would make when feeling pleasure.)

And please don’t tell me to get my mind out of the gutter. This ad is utterly ridiculous! Somebody, please help them get their trucks repainted with something decent.

We really shouldn’t be saying that we are Asia’s cultural and entertainment hub.  For those of you who are overseas like CK the Singaporean in London, it won’t matter, but ERP’s will be getting more money from drivers since the budget announcements.  Then again, London did take a leaf out of Singapore’s super efficient traffic system and erected their own ERPs.  How’s that working out there?
