I am sure there are many screwballs out there just like me. I don’t know where to find them, maybe they will find me.
One can have too many parties in one’s life. One is obviously not the number of parties I attended or had to attend these last few days. Yes, we all have obligatory parties that are not really parties for us. They are just functions or networking events and they should be called such as opposed to parties. Of course there are some that you want to get invited to, but unfortunately there are so many more that you’d rather not be at. There was one event in particular that had me jumping out of my skin. I really, really, really, did not want to be there.
Every end of the year, I will get a haircut. It’s part of my ritual of renewal. Along with that I will wash all the curtains, get new towels, dust the house from end to end. Today’s haircut though wasn’t very satisfying. I didn’t feel new. I don’t know why.
