He is the most brilliant comic I’ve come across yet! Dropped out of law school after his second year (he was on a scholarship), his family almost killed him, begging him to finish since he only had one year left and it was free! Another thing Demetri Martin said which is very true, “what you learn is, conclusions are based in time. We live in time. So any definition of success is bound up with time.” I’ll let you think about that for a bit and what it would mean in your life.
Other great quotes I wouldn’t expect I would love from a stand-up comic, “Because life is finite and, in the end, you can count it and it can all be calculated. In retrospect, everything is finite, but prospectively, there are infinite possibilities. I guess that’s what makes life hopeful.”
