There’s not much to think about with this one. Yes, personalized gifts are classy … so long as they’re not the ones you make yourself when your skill is obviously lacking.  I appreciate the time and effort involved, but to be honest, if you give me your artwork and you’re really not very good at it, you’re never going to see it displayed anywhere in my home.

Neither are you going to see me wearing any jewellery or using any bag you bought from a destitute person out of a good heart.  Am I a snob? Yes.  I’m just honest about it while others will pretend to shower appreciation and gratitude on something they don’t know what to do with.

It seems that no warning signs will stop smokers from buying cigarettes.  Such is the power of nicotine.  So these ads are all useless- but hopefully they will stop people who are not smokers from taking up the nasty habit.

Julian Beever calls himself a “pavement picasso” and he is truly a great artist and just as prolific.  His work continues to grow, although sadly, since its made of chalk, can only be preserved in pictures and youtube videos. Although there are other chalk artists who do phenomenal work like Kurt Wenner, Tracy Lee Stum, Lori Escalera, only Beever’s work truly looks 3D from a certain angle.

I’ve seen Wenner’s work in Shanghai and the only way you could see it “sort of” in 3D was when you looked through a lens.  That isn’t necessary for Beever’s work which really pop-out, but again, only from the right perspective.  If you’re looking at it from the wrong angle, it just looks like an elongated mess which is part of its charm!
